Product Derivation through Domain-Specific Modeling: Collected Experiences

چکیده
Domain-Specific Modeling raises the level of abstraction beyond programming by specifying the solution directly using product domain concepts. The final products can be generated from these high-level specifications. This automation is possible because both the language and generators need fit the requirements of only one company and domain. This paper discussed Domain-Specific Modeling approach to product family development. It derives guidelines for DSM language and generator implementation by collecting the experiences gained from different cases of model-based product derivation.
